So one of my uncles came from Uzbekistan yesterday to our house. This man has never seen a sausage living in a rural part of Uzbekistan. The morning when sausages were served for breakfast, he asked us "Why are you guys having chocolate fingers for breakfast?" I laughed like a bitch for the entire day. Nope, you're thinking of the wrong country. My country is a secular state (once a part of USSR) who although have seen many ethnic freedom restrictions from the Russians, also benefited from the idea that country and religion is not the same thing.

Uzbekistan doesn't have sausages? No sausages at all? I find it hard to believe. I could have sworn there were even traditional Uzbek sausages.

That's Kazakh. In western Uzbekistan, there is no such thing unless it's a part where the Slavic have invaded. Kazakh people have a traditional sausage made out of horse meat, and in border with Kazakhstan, Uzbeks know what sausages are.
