Ok so here is context for the title https://gbatemp.net/threads/for-sure-i-screwed-my-switch-up-somehow.575920/#post-9241028

I've screwed up my switch by what I assumed was constantly ejecting and re-inserting the Sd card which whittled down its integrity and eventually gave way.
If you go deeper into the replies of the thread you can see people recommending I replace the sd card slot itself in its entirety.
Someone sent me a link to where I can buy the replacement and I did. Unscrewed the back of my switch, popped off the old sd card reader, and inserted the new one.
To my surprise, it worked
For a miraculous 2 days, then I was right back at the randomly ejecting issue.
The reason I'm getting back to this issue so late is because my Best buy has been backed up way too far and can't even put me down for repair.
I decided to cave in and just buy a new Sd card
I was very close to snapping my switch on my knee when the Sd card ejected mere seconds after being inserted.
It even ejects while in docked mode, fucking docked mode where no movement issues should be an issue.
I've just been playing my switch with no Sd card for the past month now.
Please help

see the conector where the sd reader go ?
take a picture/upload.
seems a missing pin on that conector.
search for "sd card issue" , there are some threads who can help you.

I've got options:
- Super glue (might not be the best option)
- Wedge a piece of paper under it
- Tape it (might be the best option)
And: Leave it the fuck alone!! Use FTP/USB and just let it be..

it can be prestine look but one pin is about to disolder ;
you can diagnostic this isue by pressing with your fingers where the conector is (1cm up where the mSD is inserted )
do this when the switch is not opened/unscrewed.

if the problem is solved when pressing ,then one or more pins are about to desolder.
and you have to ;
-change the conector on the motherboard (need skills)
-or solder the missing pin ,there is a shema ( need skills).

edit : there is one option but it requires pro skills i guess , since the conector (mother board side) look good , pasting flux on the sides of the connector and tin after that.
so desoldered pins can be soldered back without removing the connector.

Hmm... Are you sure it is properly seated? I had the SD problem until I reseated the connection. (Also, I don't see anything wrong with the pins).

Alright Gentlemen
New problem
I inserted the micro Sd card whilst the back of the switch was off and I left it on overnight to download all my games and it never ejected
So now I need to explain why the hell my switch is accepting sd cards while the bask is off and not while it's on.
I tried it while it was on but it won't even detect it

Maybe post a picture of the back of your Switch?
