my psp seems bricked, need help to revive it!

    my psp seems bricked, need help to revive it!

    there was custom 3.9 m33 on it,
    i did a software update to 4.01 , seems ok, but i don't know why
    day after i cannot power on it.
    black screen.

    with my pandora battery, and memory stick i still boot on menu to install custom firmware
    but they all hang on

    flash 0 ... OK
    on formatting flash1 .... stop here.

    I remember it has a function for logical formatting the various FlashX, so it might help.

    I would warn you that DdC is a pretty dangerous app, but seeing as your PSP is already bricked, I cannot imagine something worse happen [​IMG]

    Umm, can you boot into recovery? (probably not, but had to ask anyway)

    lol , now even the memory stick is unreadable.
    i will test it tomorrow,
    however i cannot power on it and enter any recovery screen
    power led is always green however.

    What happens when you power it up? Does the green LED just stay on (black screen) then turn off after a while (like, 15 seconds or so, not sure exactly), or does it just stay on for long periods of time (like, 2 minutes+)? If it stays on, then it might be something other than a brick (like a fault somewhere that prevents it from reading/running - typically UMD or MS, but both usually get at least the Sony logo first).

    I bricked my brother's PSP Phat updating to 4.01 (using the exact same files that I used on my Slim minutes before), and it just had black screen (recovery screen didn't work) with just the green light until it went out after a while. Evident signs of a brick, so I went through the DdC.v7 as above and it worked out fine, except that the Phat inherited the Slim's settings (network, name, etc).
