Last week, my friends and I were going to play a classic game of Mario Kart DS, but on my original DS, It couldn't find the multiplayer game my friend was hosting, although, everyone else received it, so I tried to host it but my friends could not receive it. We tried doing DS download play and Nintendo WFC via Wiimmfi but still my DS couldn't do multiplayer against my friends.

Afterwards, I disassembled my DS to see what was wrong. Everything looked fine especially after 12 years. There was a bit of dust on one of the parts and I blew it off. I had a look at the wireless board but it looked fine. I wasn't sure if it was actually the wireless board or not. I put it back together but still, it wouldn't work. Can anyone help me?

I'm not familiar with the DS at all, but if you can disconnect and reseat the wireless board, I'd try that.
Other than that, I have no idea. But the problem is most likely with the wireless board.

If everything else works and their wifi setup works then the only other scenario I can see is some complicated convergence of flashme not working and them using modded games (but all having flashme) and your wifi connection on your DS not working for some reason.

Far more likely that something in the wifi board or antenna has broken.
