It's not a discussion, it's "my opinions on:"
and the rest of them are in blogs, because if everyone posted a thread of their opinion of some E3 conference, that's all there would be. Blogs is sparse as is because of stray blogs like this.
If you don't think it's a discussion, don't respond to it, easy as that.

if there were multiple threads called "my opinion on the E3 conference" we would just merge them and be done with it
to be clear, it is OK to have one thread about a subject - not 10 different ones.
I don't see a lot of similar threads (but I could be looking in the wrong places)

Nintendo's conference was weak imo. They didn't had much to show, especially not for Wii U.
Mario and Luigi Paper Jam looked awesome though.
The Metroid game not so much.

Sorry. o.o
I was in a hurry so I was hoping people would follow XrosBladers example and agree or disagree and say why, and conversation would start from there.
In the future i'll be sure to make it more open for people who don't want to watch the video. 20 minutes is a tad bit ridiculus to expect people to watch, at least all the way through at least.

@Xros. Agreed. Weak Sauce.

In regards to Metroid Fed Force, here is another video I made as kind of a joke. XD

I think i angered some with it unfortunately. 3 dislikes vs 0 likes QQ

You made me sad.
For once I was hating Metroid Federations already, but I didn't remember that MP3:C looked and felt so good.
The rape here is strong.
Why do they do this? Why?
Also, the first part of your "trailer" makes it look as if Samus reaches some planet in order to babysit some brats that are jumping around...
And that is what Metroid Fed looks like, as if you play as a brat jumping around.

lol I still think it looks like a spinoff game for a cartoon network metroid series.....or maybe Nickelodeon. Either one really.
Nice "Baby sitting brats". Funny imagery comes to mind. XD

I'm no Metroid expert but aren't Metroid games supposed to evoke feelings of extreme isolation because you're alone on an alien planet facing incredible odds? I think this Chibi social bullshit makes a complete mockery of what Metroid is all about and I'm not even a huge Metroid fan. I haven't even played the Prime series but I loved Super Metroid as a kid and the atmosphere and that sense of isolation and somtimes terror when a big fucking monster popped up was incredible. Definitely took full use of that sexy SNES sound chip. This chibi nonsense however is just offensive.

Nintendo has been really fucking stupid lately.

Eh, I'd want a Mario 64 Pt. 2 or Sunshine 2 than Galaxy 3 but either way, Galaxy 3 would be better than another Mario 3D Land/World on Wii U.

At least we can emulate the fan translated Mother 3 or use a flash cart to play it on original hardware. As far as Metroid goes, Iwata might as well just squat down and take a big steaming dump right on Samus' Face. hurg ung arg ooga booga hurg huuurg huuuuuuuuuurg "prease understandu!" *FAAAARRTT* splat, pretty much.

Seriously though, what were they thinking?

I think what's a big shame about this year's Nintendo's E3 is that almost everyone was saying, "WE WANT STARFOX WE WANT STARFOX". So Nintendo shows it off... and it's like people still aren't happy. I guess the Metroid fans are probably the most vocal fanbase when it's not a 2D sprite game or a Prime series by Retro Studio.

By the way, am I the only one who thinks Nintendo Directs are a double edged sword? It allows us to have sneak peeks at upcoming games like the one in April's Nintendo Direct where they announce stuff and by the time it came to this year's E3, it was all, "yeah yeah, we've seen this before".

Don't forget, Majora's Mask was announced in a Nintendo Direct on Nov 2014 and released Feb 2015. Would delaying MM 3DS until this year's E3 so that Iwata can say, "available to buy... next week" be the best way to make Nintendo "win" E3? Either way, I'm treating this year's E3 as "just another Direct... just on a day when everyone's eyes were on them".

Not to mention Here in germany the Official Nintendo Magazine usually releases new issues like a week before a new Nintendo Direct so these magazines get outdated in literally 1 week.

The reason why I stopped buying gaming magazines. They released a magazine one week after e3 2004 so it was too late to bring breaking news.

I think your post sums up most of the frustration pretty well.

As for the Directs being a doubled edge sword, it is in Nintendo's current mindset. If they had more 3rd party aboard, then they would have more games to fill into each direct, and they could save some of the big announcements for E3, so I think the idea of a direct is a smart move for Nintendo and since they have so many ip's, they are pretty much the only company that could pull it off, but being so outgoing with info throughout the year does leave little for nintendo to share at e3.

Also, for those who responded kindly to my metroid video, thank you!
Really I should have used the whole song, because the climax is the saddest part, but didn't have enough footage of Prime Fed to use in the video. Probably could have used other M footage, but meh.

That's one of the issues I have with ecchi stuff recently, it focuses too much on the sexual aspect, not the comedy effect.
