New start, I have a new hobby! I am going to collect exclusive Nintendo things. For example Demo Stations/Kiosks(my main direction in my collection will be demo kiosk see the video for examples.)

Of course I already have some things, but not enough! ;D So here is where it all starts, I'll post pics of my latest additions in this thread. You can discuss that here and even post your own pics!

Who else shares my hobby between?

I have a new hobby! I am going to collect demo stations from all consoles I can find! I currently have zero of them but no problem, I'll find them!

If you don't understand what I mean, you'll get a better picture with this video!

I hope to find one of those gameboy pods soon.(One store has a pod! But I ain't sure if they sell it!)

Well I want to start a discussion, what do you think? Is it cool? I think it is exciting!

    Who else shares my hobby?

It sounds expensive, mostly. Cool? Yes. But expensive. Not as expensive as collecting arcade cabinets, but still way too expensive for me, at any rate. If you do get your hands on any though, I demand pics!

Note: Did a semi-quick search and found that a beta Genesis kiosk was put up on eBay for 600 USD, and a finalized Genesis kiosk for 200 USD. Also did a quick search on arcade cabinets to discover that an SSF4 cabinet pair costs around 17,000 USD if purchased straight from the manufacturer.

    That. Is. So. COOL!

200$ isn't that bad for a Genesis kiosk. SSF4 cabinets however, are an impossibility.

On reddit a few days back, someone was given the gameboy stand you see in the youtube preview image, along with a big neon sign that said NINTENDO LAND or something like that, for free. Their aunt or something worked at some Nintendo thing and got them by the by when their employer went under/business moved.

Most of these are from wild auctions, or awesome nifty finds that are more of the right time and right place kinda things. Like inheritance :E

Others have said most of what I would (sounds expensive and you will have to be better at the procurement game than most of us).

Twisting it slightly what about making display cabinets (actual hardware and not emulation naturally) as that would be interesting and you could also do things like fold things as seen in the following video into it

God this upload system does not work to well, give me a moment to post more pics in this post T_T

Random stuff from Castlevania and mario somewhere:

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

    Fake WII!

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

In fact it has most of the features of the real wii, it is only missing some stuff inside like the disc drive, it even has USB ports! It is missing the sd port though...

    Warning: Spoilers inside!

Also I know it expensive, but it is really worth it. Heavy stuff is not a problem at all. ^-^ I my future house I'll try to have a somewhat bigger basement for my stuff so I can have a lot of them.

    yes it is, since

    a. I work at the shop I got it from.
    b. I hung the display cabinet myself
    c. all controllers are not complete, they miss essential parts
    d. theres some weird japanese tekst on it
    e. I can insert a pen in the wii and I can insert it and see it at the back of the wii

It is a fake. the manager said himself.
