Hacking My home button is broken, how do i change the buttons to allow me to go without turning my 2ds off

I'm trying to install homebrew and im stuck at the part where you convert download play to homebrew menu, you see, my home button is completely off, the place where it would be, there is an exposed circuit board (i think) i have tried turning off my 2ds and turning it back on and rebooting using rosalina menu but nothing works. is there any way for me to remap the home button to start using rosalina?

I don't think you can if you haven't installed either FBI or homebrew channel. Can you somehow put it to sleep by either closing the shell or powering it off and closing, then open it & click on Download Play app and install FBI etc

Are you certain that it is a 2DS? Like this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_2DS ?
If it's the case, it seems strange to me that you're seeing a circuit board instead of the button. Would make sense for other consoles. Have a look at this disassembly where the thing under the home button is just the sleek part below the screen (from 1:58):
