So my friend has a NTSC-U DSi. He imported a Japanese game and wants to play it on his NTSC-U DSi.

Is there any way to do this, with or without a flashcart? He's willing to buy a flashcart if needed, and emulating or using a rom is not an option.

EDIT: The game is a Japanese copy of Pokemon White in case anyone gives a fuck and a half.

It's region-locked because it's DSi-Enhanced. If it wasn't DSi-Enhanced, it would be playable on an NTSC-U DSi. I think the only way to bypass the region lock would be to somehow force DS Mode with a hack. However, if you want to keep the DSi-Enhanced features, it'll never be playable in your friend's DS.

If you dump it to a DS flashcart and then run it from it, it will work fine. You won't get the "DSi Enhancements", as it will run and play in DS mode, but at least you can play it.
