My external HDD arrived, what do I name it?

in the "gude old'd deys" when you hadn't a second floppy drive, to copy from a floppy to another the OS would emulate a second floppy drive using B..

i think windows uses Z: for networks or VHD disks so in a way to perserve that letter.. C D E F etc will go as available, if you plug a usb stick the windows will use the first available letter after C, so a usb stick can be D E or F when you plug in depending on the available space...
however when you turn on a network drive or vhd, to avoid letter changing it directs them to the last available letter (if Z is occupied next network drive will be X)
this is all speculation of my part, but i do think it makes sense...
B:\ is for 5 1/4 floppies, if I remember correctly.
