So my laptop has a Windows Vista 32bit......
with this driver: Sony CDRWDVD CRX880A ATA Device

I am able to read/play/burn CD's
I am able to read/play DVD's
But i tryed 2 sets Blank DVD's and my drive will not recognize them.
Instead it tells me that theres no disc inside...

Also i already tried to update the sony driveres, but it tells me that i already have the newest update.
Does anyone have any idea as to what is the problem?

Make sure it has the DVD RW logo on the drive itself (should be on the side panel)...

It looks like this:
DVDRW_logo_med.gif

(it's just the [RW] block, sometimes there is no text below it)

If it doesn't have that, there's a VERY high chance that it's not a DVD burner at all...

edit: hmm... +'s seem to be transformed into %20 using the img tag... New image
