Hacking my ds lite's hinge is broken!help!

Ive had my ds lite since august ( 1st one broke haha, japanese so i bought a new one). I just noticed it has a broken hinge. I've heard of a lot of others on the internet who have had this same thing happen. So waht should I do, send it to get it repaired or not worry about it?

Look in your manual or Nintendo's website for the phone number. Tell them your problem and asked if they can replace it.

This is what I plan to do. Been having the cracked hinged for a month now, but for some reason..... I am very lazy.

My first dslite got the hinge crack about 1 and 1/2 months after I got it. I sent it to Nintendo. They sent me a replacement with a pixel in the middle of the lower screen that was at least twice as bright as all the reast, and it alternately flashed red and white. I sent it to Nintendo. They sent me a replacement about 1 and 1/2 months ago. Two days ago I happened to look ... yup, hinge crack.
