Does the new Wii play image files of Gamecube games?

No. Besides, you'd have no way of controlling the game.


In the event of an update, MIOS and BC would never need to be installed and, since stubs are smaller, you would even get a little extra NAND space (not enough to matter though).


And even if it would need updating (no idea why it would though), surely they can force-overwrite it despite the higher version number?

Yeah, just make them v10001 and it would update.
