The edges of the Tempy mascot in your avatar are sharp and jagged and rough. After you cut out Tempy and paste him in a new layer, while it's still selected, go to Select - Modify - Border..., set it to, say 4 pixels. It will select an outline of the object (Tempy) 4 pixels wide. Now apply Gaussian blur to the new selection. You'll get blurred edges instead of the sharp noticeable edges. They drag the object to the desired location.

What program you use? I use paint net.

Photoshop CS2. I'm not sure how to do that in Paint.net, sorry

I'm sure the option is there, but I don't know what it's called in Paint.net or how to get to it.
