I'm looking for some new bands. To give you a little background info, I like these bands:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Queen
Nickleback
Nightwish
DJ Tiesto
Kaiser Chiefs

I'm looking for bands with a similar genre and some trance music.

All suggestions are welcome

Well i'd rather suggest good songs since not all the bands do great music all the time. Anyways here's a collection of music that's really good and varied, and don't mind if they're not rock or whatever, stay open minded ;P

The Cranberries - Zombie
Jose Gonzales - Crosses
Tenacious D - Tribute
Adam Tensa - My Cool
Santana - Black Magic Woman
Sting - Shape of my heart
Genesis - Land of confusion
Andy Mckee - Rylynn
Stevie Wonder - Higher Ground
Muse - Hysteria
Beatles - Hey Jude, Lady Madonna
Tool - Sober, Jimmy
Eagles - Hotel California
System of a down - Roulette, Atwa
Eurythmics - I saved the world today

Listen to these first and when you've done that let me know and i'll tell ya about more good songs =D

try the Guitar hero soundtrack.
1 and 3 have some great classics on them and the Bonus Tracks are always great to listen to.
Some of the better yet more obscure bands are in there.

I'll just add "Mad about you" by Sting, "Spiders" by System of a down, and "Watermellon in Easter hay" by Frank Zappa.

Oh, and for something completely different, try Red Elvises. Do. Go on. Try.

311. If you've heard them and dont like them...give them another listen. They are classic, more so than RHCP. Much better than nickleback.
311 are one of the best underlistened-to bands out there.
