GCN multiple region saves on 1 memorycard

Hell everyone, I've got a question.

I heard that if you have a memorycard with pal saves and you would like to save a japanese game, you'll need an other memory card, because the one wih pal saves will be formated and all pal saves will be deleted. Is this true?

I'm talking about a ghamecube memory card by the way, can't edit my last post for some reason.

Yes , true. Pal and American saves will go fine together , but jap saves will not. I'm not sure if it's all of them or just some , but it easier just to get a 2nd card.

I now have a pal mario kart save game, a mario party 7 usa save game and bleach, naruto gekitou ninja taisen 4 andfbattle stadium don jap save games on one memory card ( just tried it ) it didn't earase anything
