Msg other people

    Hi i am on my computer and so is my brother who is downstairs , we are both networked up to the same router so how could i send a message to him so it would pop up on his computer screen just to mess with him?

    oh yeah and im running vista home premium (cuz im cool) and hes running xp home edition i think

    That would require the brother to be logged in too (i.e. willing to accept PMs). There's a command line that lets you send messages to people on the same network that pop up on their screen, regardless whether they want it or not [​IMG]

    We used to do that in our computer lab, on Windows XP. It was worse than Rick Rolling. SUDDENLY, OVER 9000 NOTIFICATIONS, EVERYWHERE! And you can't Alt-F4 because your workspace is in there somewhere and you didn't save. [​IMG]

    Actually, if you can rig the computer with WLM while he is away from it, you can use APatch for Windows Live Messenger to disable nudge delay and flood him with nudges.

    He could probably turn it off though so you might want to find something that will hide it from the taskbar. Make sure he's not smart enough to ctrl+alt+del it away also.
