MSFORSC.NDS What is this? Do I really need to have it on my card?

Just updated my DSTT (first gen, not a fake), after not updating it in quite a while, using the RetroGameFan stuff linked here, and it had this MSFORSC.NDS file in there with the files to copy to the root of my SD card. It never came with any of the past DSTT updates I'd installed.

I can't find any good info about what it does, and if I really need it, so can someone explain?

I'm just playing on a regular old silver launch DS if that makes any difference at all.

As far as I can tell it's Moonshell for Supercard (thanks google). Should be able to delete it, but I'd keep a backup (or just append .bak or something to it) just in case.

MSFORSC.NDS is old name for the boot file for Supercard DSOne(i) it has since been changed to SCFW.SC
It's part of Retro's updates because Suerpcard DSOne(i) can run YSMenu and the DSTT kernel, it is a modified boot file that boots up ttmenu.dat.

For a little time, we had these files in the TTMenu folder

    LIGHT.SYS [A505DF1B]
    OPTIONS.SYS [520EFED3]
    SOFTRST.SYS [99F8B879]

They are not for DSTT too, no ?
