Homebrew MPlayer CE 0.76

Any time I try to load a movie (off of any source) it crashes. I get "Exception (DSI) occured" and it restarts the wii. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

what kind of file is it?

how are you launching mplayer?

I am launching it though homebrew channel. I tried .avi (xvid) and .mkv
