I successfully installed emuMMC a few days ago. I used a 64gb SD Card (FAT32) during the process.

I bought a 128gb card today so I can have a slightly larger storage. The question is it possible to just clone the 64gb card to the 128gb card? And what should I use to do it?

I also noticed that I can't format the 128gb card to FAT32, will this be fine if I'm cloning a FAT32 SD Card to an exFat SD Card? Thanks!

Format the 128GB card to FAT32 using literally anything other than windows own format tool. Windows has an artificial restriction built in for formating to FAT32 - probably to benefit the exfat aliance they are in - or to prevent stupid users, from formating their big harddrives to FAT32 and then complaining, that they cant be using tha big files...

Gui Format for example: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/guiformat.exe (see: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk )

The rest should just be a matter of copy/pasting files. I've have no experience with emuMMC yet - but regarding everything else, thats the correct approach.

Copy directly from sdcard to sdcard using windows preferably (using MacOS does change some folder flags, which you dont want to (Hekate doesnt 'make it right again' with the Nintendo folder option). Linux maybe (not tested).

Thats all that should be needed.

(If you have two partitions on your sdcard because of emuMMC - yes cloning would be the way to go - then expanding one of them presumably. In which case - asking what filesystem should I go with is irrelevant, because if you clone one - you already take over the filesystems of the partitions of the source one.)

If you are using emuMMC and want to screw up everything already - lust for exfat.

I havent read even one emuMMC guide yet, but even I know that all emuMMC stuff is fat32 bound - and that the internal nand uses fat 32 as well - so why does the person that actually did an emummc conversion know nothing about it? Havent you read anything? Using others to do all the work for you again? Following videos?

I actually tried the cloning method via Win32DiskImager which resulted to breaking my SD Card. I just got it replaced right now thinking it was just faulty. I asked here to make sure if I was doing the right method (which is cloning), I tried it again right now which resulted into breaking the SD Card (Again). I'll just repeat the process of installing the emuMMC again instead of cloning since it seems like cloning is breaking my SD Cards.

agreed.. cloning won't break SD cards at all.

if win32diskimager isn't working - try Etcher.

I used Etcher to direct image my 128GB card with hidden partition to a file on my hard drive.

Don't try to do a real-time copy.. make the image to HDD first, then write the image to the new card.

I then used Etcher to write the 128GB image to my 400GB SD card.

After it was finished, I had to boot into ubuntu (bootable USB as my desktop normally runs windows 7) and I used the ubuntu gparted tool to grow the 128GB partition on the 400GB card to the full 400GB (minus 32GB for the hidden partition for emuNAND)..

Everything worked fine and all my save games etc. on the emuNAND were there in the migration to the larger SD Card.

I'm not sure if it's broken but after trying and failing to write the .IMG file to the new SD Card via win32diskimager, I can't seem to access the new SD Card. I tried to delete partition and create partition but it's always stuck at 15% (I tried AOMEI and EaseUS, same result)
