PS1/2 Moving/Copying ePSXe memory card saves to actual PS1 memory card?

Is there any way to take the save files on memory cards created by ePSXe for Windows and move them to an actual PS1 memory card? I have Free McBoot for PS2. Can I do that through that? Can Free McBoot read PS1 memory cards?

That is for save files themselves downloaded from the internet, NOT saves from a memory card from ePSXe which that tutorial DOES NOT cover. I think I need a way to extract the saves from the virtual memory card first.

What is the file extension? It's all a matter of converting from one format to the other.

on step 3 open your ePSXe memcard file instead of a single savegame and continue from there with step 4
