Hi everyone, im new to this forum..
but I actually need some help to make some movies playable on my portable harddisk, which is plugged in the Wii.

- Which wiichannel do I need to install?
- Can i place the movies (*.iso format) to the harddisk with WBFSmanager?

Kind Regards,

Maarekje

first of all, you don't have to install a channel for media playback. download MplayerCE 0.76 and put it on your SD card in the apps folder. About the .iso's on wbfs, a wbfs partition is only ment for wiigames and nothing else.

You also need to install DVDx which is available with the Hackmii Installer if you plan on.

EDIT: Sorry, misread the post. Still, you should install DVDx if you haven't already.

The movies have to be in a format MPlayer CE can read. e.g: AVI, MP4, ect. Cannot be H.264.

Wrong, movies can be H264 because it's just a codec. Best playback is still DivX codec with AVI Container. Also working is H264 codec with MP4 or MKV container, but has some issues, if the resolution is too big frameskipping begins.
