Well, I tried everything so now I'm coming here asking you guys if you got Mother 3 with the translation patch working on the EZ 3 in 1. I have an R4 with YSMenu and using GBAExploder, when I go save the game, I don't get the "Unable to save" error but when I turn off and on my DS, the save file is missing. Anyone here happen to know how to fix this?

I tried using YSmenu's built in GBA support, GBA Exploder and manually patching the rom with the SRAM patch from GBATA.

You are trying to save it to SRAM and not NOR. You need at least 32 Megabytes of NOR memory to play the game.

Worked for me for a while using ExpLoader, but then... saves gone randomly upon boot one time. Took a while too... I saved several times before coming back to it later with no issues... but tonight when I booted it, save was gone. REALLY disappointing...

The save dissapears for me also, it looks like the 3-in-1 cant keep saves stored for more than a day or two before they are lost, I cant be bothered backing up my save every time I play it, so I think i'll stick to playing it on my old trusty FA Pro.

I also ran from NOR... as it's the ONLY way to play it because it won't fit on PSRAM. [IMG] But the issue still happened. It doesn't always happen immediately, like what happened with me. So tell us in a few days if you are still issue free. [IMG]

Just saying, the only way I ever got GBA games working and saving on the 3-in-1 was to SRAM patch with GBATA, and flash to the NOR with cory1492's GBAldr

Weird. I've played through the game and I'm almost done the game a second time using the EZ Flash 3in1. I've kept it on NOR and I haven't had any issues.

start with a clean rom then

    1. isp patch the game (so you can read english)
    2. SRAM patch it (game uses flash save type)
    3. Trim the rom (this depends on where you got it)
    4. Load it to NOR
