Hi there guys, complete noob here. I just got my EZ Flash V 3-in-1, and am having trouble with running Mother 3 on it.

This is what I did so far:

    1) Download the rom of Mother 3
    2) Patched it with the English patch
    3) Downloaded and put GBA ExpLoader 0.57 in my R4
    4) Put the rom in the R4

I tried to patch Mother 3 on NOR, but every time I press COPY, it just freezes. I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a status bar or not, but it's just frozen.

Can someone please write a guide for me on how to patch with NOR?

    Thanks!

At which point does the status bar freeze? % wise.
EDIT: didn't you ask this on gamefaqs and i said come here lol.
Is your R4 updated to the latest kernal as possible also.

    Hi matt,

There was no status bar that popped up. After pressing COPY, I couldn't do anything. The only thing was to reset the DS. If I just left it there, it would stay like that until the battery died out.

And nope, I never asked this on gamefaqs.

    Thanks for the help!

If a specific percentage matters, mine is freezing at 3% consistently.

I had the same problem with my Acekard, it would also crash at 3% every time - this is how I fixed it:

    1. Download THIS tool from the EZ-Flash site and open the translated rom. (I didn't add any other patches apart from the translated ROM)
    2. The ROM size should be displayed as "32.00MBytes" and the save should be detected as "FLASH_TYPE" and "512K Bits". The ROM Name field should be blank, so put a name in there.
    3. Click Config and check that your send path is set to your Micro SD card (or wherever you want to save it to) and close the config window.
    4. Click on send and the program will patch the file and send it to your card.

I tried copying this to NOR using GBA Exploader and it worked! The saves work and the game has worked without any problems so far...
