So I am trying to play the English patched Mother 3 on the Wii, but I can´t save it. Every time I try it says "unable to save"

I searched on google and apparently you can import a save from the PC VBA and the problem will be fixed, but I am not having any luck...

Also there are some errors like : couldn´t open fat://vbagx/roms... but I can load the game afterwards...

    Any help?

Try to format your SD to FAT(16) instead of FAT32. Worked for me while I was playing Golden Sun.

Which solution fixed the saving problem? I'm getting the "Unable to save" message too.

Not only this problem, but another:

You can fix the save problem by the patch which removes the "Unable to Save" error.

    But there's another problem.

Now when you save the game's SRAM and reset the game, it's as though it doesn't recognize your file, and you'll either have to start over or pull up a save state.

I got around this by making a new game on a VBA on the computer, taking the .sav file (which is 64KB compared to the Wii's VBA .sav of 128KB), and after I replaced the .save file, I started a new game after I lost the game I had an hour into, and after I saved with the frog, it actually remembered the save SRAM.

Be aware of this problem, though...

    You mind uploading the .sav?

Edit: Nvm should be able to use this: http://www.zophar.net/savestates/gba/mother-3.html

I learned this the hard way [IMG]
I was so happy (actually not, because of the story) and then when I returned... nothing.

Still I tried this method and there game deosn´t recognize the .sav file...

    Now what?

Applied the translation patch then the save fix patch and went ahead and copied the .sav file from the link above. It didn't pick up the previously saved same file, but I am able to save the game now. Only problem is, if I exit VBAGX and reopen it, the saved file is gone, it only stays there as long as VBAGX is running. [IMG]

Checking again, I deleted the save file and attempted to save a game. The game doesn't even create it's own .sav file to begin with with (at least for me).

This is exactly what´s happening to me.
I am using 3.2 US if that changes anything...

Also I can´t save/load in both SRAM and snapshots formats.

I'm not getting any errors when I do anything, but it doesn't create a save at all for me. I set everything to manual, saved, reset, and then I tried to load, but it re-reset. Then I just tried to save, load, but instead of loading, it resets

As a sort of solution, the snapshot save should work.
