Hacking Mother 3 not booting w/ AK2 and 3-in-1

I just received my ezflash v 3-in-1 in the mail today and I cant seem to get Mother 3 to boot arfter it copies to the NOR flash. It will get to the GBA boot screen, but at the part where it's supposed to show the "fan translation" screen, I get garbled red squares.

What I'm using:

DS lite
Acekard 2.1 with latest AKAIO FW (1.4.1)
EZFV 3-in-1
8gb A-Data card
Mother 3 rom with translation patch

Any tips on getting this running would be much appreciated.

You more than likely have the new 3in1+, which is what i've got and encountered the same problem.
Use the latest version of Rudolphs GBAexploder to flash Mother3 to NOR then launch it from the DS start-up screen

^ i've got it running from GBA Exploader, although it has been varied results

best bet, like vato said, is to run through the DS firmware.

just like running a normal gba game.
