Like say you want game X on the virtual console but it's not, so you stick it in the shell of game Y which already is?

Which injector is most up to date and preferably easy to use.

    Injectors are out of date.

Just unpack the wad, then unpack the .app file that has the rom in it (for N64 wads this .app is 00000005.app, in NES vc, the rom is actually embedded in the executable file which is usually 00000001.app). Use a U8 packer/unpacker for these files (except for the NES one, which you'll instead have to open up 00000001.app in a hex editor and replace the ROM maually).

Which ROM are you trying to inject, and into which wad?
PM me the wad and rom (DON'T link to them in the forums) and I'll see what I can do for you.

I appreciate it. I'm just asking in general though. I would like something I can run through a program and hopefully make a custom banner for.

    I don't think there is...

The closest you could get is customizemii, but I think that's only for homebrew wads...

Every other method I know of requires everything be done manually...

Frankly it'd be easier to use a homebrew emulator.

    In my experience it isn't.

you have issues with homebrew emulators? I haven't come across even one game that they couldn't play (the snes, nes and gba ones at least)

Then you're doing it wrong or something. SNES emulation on the Wii is rather trivial at this point.

auto injectuwad still works, although you'll need the needed installations, else it doesn't work...
