Also, I'm sorry, but this bug is hilarious. As long as save data isn't deleted, nothing of value is lost.

Do I update to fix this? Or stay on the current firmware, forever plagued with this bug, in case they patch some vulnerabilities too?

Wait to see if they patch any vulnerabilities. Update if they don't. If they do then it's an easy decision for me, I only looked at my played time once I finished Zelda.

Then I tried to work out how the hell I found 140 hours to play it.

Just curious if this is an across the board bug or just affecting random users? Personally my launch switch/Zelda botw is showing the bug.
