im new to the mortal kombat franchise and i would like to know wad does those icons at the top of the ds screen during battle represents. i noe its a move list but they are skulls?presents?candies?hm...

Skull - Fatality (finishes your opponent gruesomely)
Paw - Animality (you turn into an animal and finish your opponent)
Present - Friendship (you do something nice to your opponent)
Rattle - Babality (you turn your opponent into a baby)

You can only do these when the announcer says "FINISH HIM / HER!"

P.S.

You need to perform "Mercy" on round 3 to perfrom animalities (on third round hold run for 2 sec press down three times, release run)

For friendships and bablities you CANNOT use the block button on the last round.

and you have to stand either far, sweep, or close to your opponent
