Hacking More firmwares?

Are there more custom firmwares next to Flashme?
As I mentioned in my other topic, I'm addicted to flashing (and very good at it) and I think it's awesome that you can replace the firmware and stuff. xD

There are 3 that I know of but I would not suggest using any of them as none surpass flashme at this time. Ignoring the minor flashme tweaks made before loop/olimar returned.

A firmware from the ground up, lacks download play. If I was to flash another firmware this would be it but wishing no offence to the authors it is a bit like choosing a kick in the head or a kick in the grapes. Basically only the intellectually curious need apply (and it is open source and makes for some good reading).

Another was made by loopy/olimar and is a very minimal firmare (black screen and a bit of text and just enough to launch a game. It was on the orginal flashme site but that is out of action. You might some luck at some of the mirror sites set up when flashme went down (pocketheaven and gbadev were where I saw them).

This was exactly what I was looking for!

But is it save to flash on your DS?
I have a M3 Simply/R4/M3Perfect so can I run these cards through one of these firmwares?
I just want to try them out.

I just scared myself to death, I used fwnitro and I couldn't boot anything with it so I thought I was screwed..
Just remove the slot-1 card and it's a cool simple little firmware which can boot slot-2 in NDS mode.
