Following news of Slant Six's involvement with developing Battlefront III, it appears more footage has been leaked of Free Radical's version of Battlefront III.
The footage, which can be seen above, is still a very rough pre-alpha build. It appears to be a port of the PC version to the Xbox 360 version, but is still unoptimized. The game is still very early in development, hence the poor quality graphics, animations, and overall lack of polish, but it does show some more of how the game would play.
One noticeable change appears to be the inclusion of fighter ship combat with ground combat. Players seem to be able to bring their ships down for ground combat or just pierce the heavens and seamlessly join in with space combat. Unfortunately, Free Radical has stated that this wouldn't be moving on to the next developer, the transition instead replaced with a cutscene.
The game also includes popular game modes such as the traditional Campaign, a return of the Galactic Conquest mode, as well as Instant Action. There's also now a Challenges, Freeplay, and Jedi Arena mode.
Some of the maps would include classic locals like Coruscant, Tatooine, Cloud City, and Kashyyk, but also include new locations like Dathomir (from the Clone Wars cartoon), as well as others. Some maps would apparently support as many as 32 players additionally.
However, while promising, this build of the game apparently died with Free Radical, with the game beginning development from the ground up by Rebellion. Since then, it has been bounced around to numerous studios, now apparently landing with Spark Unlimited.
