Damn.... It may just be easier to start over and build back up.

Thankfully Rise has the shortest and fastest campaign of all the games so far (at least in my opinion) but damnit that is annoying that there isn't a push to make the save converter.

Capcom should have made it possible themselves. So frustrating

Not when you work a demanding job and have to grind HR for Valstrax armour again :-P

I'll share you my save file. I saw that are very similar to the Steam save files, but I don't know if there is any small difference, because are hex-crypted.

Yeah there's something different with hex..

that's why i need your switch save file

I bit the bullet and started over on PC, still keen to hear how this goes though.

@jaichikun025 AsteriskAmpersand mentioned on Twitter as a comment on one of his tweets that he is willing to share his notes with anyone looking to continue the work on a save converter

Any progress on this?

After seeing more of Sunbreak today I am wondering if I should just tough it out and restart the game on PC

unfortunately..

PC save and Switch save uses different hex which is cannot be converted.. I already try it on PC but it crashes.. sorry guys..

I Guess this is why Capcom does not Offer Cross save this moment.. maybe in the future update they will

IIRC Monster Hunter games encrypt their save files independently from the OS. Unless someone decides to figure out the encryption scheme this save transfer will never be possible.

Do you know if on PC there is a way to manually add all the items that you've unlocked in the Switch version?

Cross Play and Cross Save need to happen for this series. Literally the last QOL thing on the table for the franchise.

Shame a save converter won't be possible.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Slightly slower loading but a bit more convenient
