Hacking Monster Hunter on USB Loader GX problem

I can't get it to work on my new HDD despite it working with a burnt disc and NeoGamma. I'm using waninkoko CIOS rev19 and hermes CIOS v5. I would freeze at the title screen when I press the start game button. What do I do?

I had the same issue ..I fixed it by changing waninkoko's CIOS to use IOS37 as a base instead of the default in the CIOS249 r19 installer
