Since most of the items and stuff is the same it wouldn't be a problem translating the game.
first, let me apologize for resurrecting this quite old thread but i didn't found any better place to ask. If there is a better place, please let me know.
Second, i'm a great fan of monster hunter tri and i've just discovered that there is this "monster hunter G" that was only released to Japan and this post that seems to say that it can be translated...
Finally my question, if i buy the monster hunter G from japan (i've found a site for this) how could i translate it ? I'll be really glad to play to this game.
ps : please excuse my poor English :s
Somewhere Ive read about a Translation patch for mhg, google is your friend BTW i remember that only items and menus has been translated, no storyline afaik.
I hear MH G on the Wii is just another port from the old PS2 version. Also wiki says "Underground attempts have been successful in translating and porting this game to the NTSC region". Beyond that, google is your best friend ;p
Use the Riivolution app to run the patch translation with MHG retail.
Thank you very much for your answers.
Since i've read them i'm googling around; but i can't found anything.
All I can find are people like me who are looking for a translation and, some dead links to a hypothetical patch file.
T-rex, i saw many posts of you on gbatemp about this translation patch, please can you help me a little bit ?
I am also interested in the patch since I have the import. I googled as well and found nothing.
I found the English patch some weeks ago and applied it with success.
It's only a partial translation, as the quests are still in Japanese.
Here is a link to the patch file, with the explanation found on the Minegard forums (now deads).
Delivered "as it is", as I'm not the author of the patch.
There is also a main.dol patched included into the file.
Just remplace the one of your game by this one (renamed in "main.dol") if you want to act quicker.
Thanks for trying but:
The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable.
Which means exactly that. It's working for me now, try again?
LOL update anyone?
