Has anyone tried to cheat online?
Is it safe to do it?

Yeah you'll be bant. They're quite good with the bannings.
No point cheating the game though...it's really easy as is.

    Yea and very repetitive!

Am I the only person that was really disappointed with the lack of a story? They could have done so much more with this game, and the online really reminds me of playing Diablo II online "hack, slash, rinse, repeat".

Well to be honest I have never played any of the other Monster Hunter games, but really have game developers just given up on having stories in games?

You are "the story" in the game. How you develop by strength and technique is the important part. Almost like an MMORPG actually if you think about it.
