Sure. I could use all the help I could get. Let me start by saying that coding is easy, but finding the MH3U game info (such as pointers, address, ID codes, etc.) is hard and strenuous.
I spend only 10% coding and the other 90% in tracking down particular features in memory. It's a trail and error exercise for hours, sometimes days, with possibly no results.
I actually don't need help in coding, but I do need help on the following:
- Identify the jewel ID's for Armor/Weapon/Talisman usage (this code is different from the jewel in the item box). There are about 230 decoration jewel that needs to be identify. In the text document on Github, I've only identify 2.
- identify the ID code for each food skill. I've only identify about 5.
- I've given up on identifying Armor & Weapon ID codes because there are over 1600 ID's for armor and 1500 for weapons. That's way too much work for anyone and it's insane to do it. You could always get the armor/weapon you want from the blacksmith using the item ID list from peeking above. With that being said, it's not a bad idea to get a list of just the G-rank armor/weapon. That should cut the list down to about 300 for armor and 300 for weapons. 300 is a doable number.
- Identify what each pointer offset does. I'll update the text document on the next release with some new pointer offset. It'll explain what each offset does, but there are some offset that needs experimenting with because I have no idea what it does. I think some of it are meant for particular weapons or circumstance. Still it needs testing on each weapon type and/or monsters.
- Identify "data 2" on the weapon data read back. I've identify what data1, data3, and data4 does, but have no clue as to what data2 does. I know some weapons leave it blank, while other weapons does fill it with data. Other weapons fill it during battle. It'll be nice to find out exactly what its doing. Is it related to element, status, charge, attack, etc.?
To be honest, the trainer is a nice and convenient tool, but it's not a necessity. The information we gather is a necessity. One of these days, someone will probably write a better trainer, better interface, better features, etc., but I'll guarantee you one thing, that individual will be using the information that we have gather in this thread.
Let me know if you still want to help.
Thanks.
