Monolith Soft is hiring development staff for The Legend of Zelda series

A new recruitment page has gone live on Monolith Soft's website, where it appears that they're looking to hire for work on an upcoming The Legend of Zelda game. The company is looking for programmers, designers, management support, and technical artists that wish to assist with creating something related to the Zelda series. This wouldn't be the first time that they've been involved with the franchise, as we know that Monolith Soft previously aided development on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. Monolith Soft is most recently known for Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, and has three development studios on Japan, with two of them confirmed for working on future titles. This news follows last year's recruitment drive by the company, which was looking for new developers for work on a brand new JRPG. which is referred to as "production 1", while this Zelda project is known internally as "production 2".

Saying BOTW is less difficult because its catered to a younger audience is not accurate IMHO. It's less difficult because it's catered towards a modern young audience. Zelda was always catered to young audience. If you think Zelda 2 was made difficult because it was targeting young-adults of the time you'd be mistaken. Games were harder in the past, kids tolerated/liked it then.
In truth, it's not even that the combat/survival of BOTW is too easy, its that the puzzles were too easy and it lacked difficult to solve dungeons. Too much hand holding and direction. Link to the Past didn't spoon feed the dungeons to you, you had to explore and solve yourself. Even Ocarina was downgrade in problem solving difficulty, with Navi giving un-solicited hints all the time. Thankfully Majoras Mask took a step in the opposite direction and was reasonably complex.

BOTW deff doesn't deserve a 10 from me more like a 7. you got NO dungeons, a big empty world with hardly nothing in it (oh wow lets find some seeds and do some puzzles in shrines which you can skip half of them using rune cheats) annoying breakable weapons even the ancient weapons break waste of time crafting/finding them you pretty much go straight to the master sword and use that the whole game. a poor crafting and cooking system with cooking there's no variety just use 5 of the same ingredient and boom you get the best food/potions and crafting armor etc is pretty much just to get a different look since every gear has the same MAX def when fully upgraded!

and yes it is PISS EASY the easiest weakest zelda in the whole damn series!

i guess i can thank monolith for ruining it so much...
