Have a slim SCPH-90002 [8D] PS2 (hence have to get it chipped since most other stuff won't work, prefer not to get Swap Magic, unless you guys can convince me otherwise) and wondering,

Is there a difference between those two Mondo modchips that is notable?

And can they both do PAL/NTSC (have a PAL one), or is there a way to convert game formats at all if they can't?

I think they are made by different teams. I'd go for the modbo 4, simply because they are running the latest matrix infinity firmware and have no problems accessing the config menu or saving changes. Also they definitely work on the latest model, unsure about the 750. Modbo 4, is cheap and does the job [IMG]. Both will play both ntsc and pal games.
