Mojang Open Sourcing Parts of Minecraft

    Mojang has announced that they are going to start opening up some parts of Minecraft under the MIT license for people to use and contribute to!


    The first two libraries are "Brigadier" and "DataFixerUpper". Brigadier is what they use for command parsing and autocompletion while DataFixerUpper is what they use to "fix up" old data so it runs in newer versions of the game. The next one is planned to be "Blaze3D", the rendering engine that will be used in version 1.14.

    They promise to open more more of the code in the future, I wonder what is in store for the community.
