So has this version ever been dumped / shown up in public? Maybe it'd be worth it to dump and archive it somewhere.

All done. Thanks for the hard work making Modmii - it is awesome!!

Is there an easy way to change the menus from Chinese into English?

I installed the ARC but I am not sure what is the correct way to proceed.

You should in theory be able to 99.9% safely use modmii's region change wizard, but never tested on a C console before.

Official Chinese Wiis were never released, but some fan translations of the system menu certainly do exist. What region discs does it run?

I don't know what discs it will play, it didn't come with any and it's not so easy to find them here. Games shops are pretty non-existant where I live.

    Here you go.

That text in Hanzi says 日本国内something用 which means For use in Japan.

My Wii is now in English, thanks again for ModMii!

I am now struggling to get the USB loader to play my backups. Unfortunately I am getting black screen after the first couple of loading pages on all games. I am sitting through the many other threads about this issue to try to find a solution.

Yeah, that's not a Chinese Wii, that's a Japanese console with a fan-made Chinese system menu. It'll play Japanese and Traditional Chinese discs.

I'm going to need more info if I'm going to even attempt to assist. What usb loader, are you sure the backups are clean, if not, try reripping your discs, did you use modmii's USB loader set up guide, what format is your HDD? Your post suggests the games are actually loading but not making it past the health warning screens, is that right? Are these ALL wii motion plus games?

If you need more information please just ask.

    What usb loader:
    USB loader gx
are you sure the backups are clean? no - they are not my original backups, they are from a friend of a friend.
did you use modmii's USB loader set up guide? Yes
What format is your HDD? fat32
Your post suggests the games are actually loading but not making it past the health warning screens, is that right? This is what happens:
    Just Dance 2016 -
I see the very first screen, then black.
Just Dance 2017 - I see the first screen, then the health warning, then reading disc...
Just Dance 2018 - Freezes the loader and does not progress at all.
Mario Cart Wii - First splash screen, health warning, then black.

Are these ALL wii motion plus games? Not sure

From what I remember the Just Dance games needed a different IOS then the other games. Assuming your USB loader it's default using IOS 249, try switching it to 250 or 251.

    Hello.:)

IOS245[37] (rev 21009, Info: d2x-v9beta(r47)): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS246[38] (rev 21009, Info: d2x-v9beta(r47)): Trucha Bug, ES Identify, NAND Access
IOS247[53] (rev 21009, Info: d2x-v9beta(r47)): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS248[55] (rev 21009, Info: d2x-v9beta(r47)): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS251[58] (rev 21009, Info: d2x-v9beta(r47)): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
Surprising, when such "special" cIOS Versions appears in a sysCheck.:)
But I think it has to do with your Changing (from Chinese to PAL and NTSC,is this correct ?)
I am not sure if they works with any Game, but I do not have any Knowledge/Experience with this custom IOSes.

The important Thing is your cIOS 249 and that is ok.
Which Version of the USBLoader GX did you use please ?
Is your USB Device (a USB HDD ?) connected to Port 0 ?

    Thank you.:)
