    You also need to take it apart to see which model it is, which you need to know.

    Easiest drive to hack, imo.

    Hitachi is the easiest, every sata chipset can be used!

    I thought it all depended on which version of the Hitachi drive you had. Getting into ModeB seems like a hassle to me.

    I modded 2 kinds of Hitachi drives that needed seperate hacks, and they worked on my chipset.

    BenQ Drives are the easiest to hack.
    all you need is a PCI card from ebay that will cost about $10 posted.

    You need a chip for some types of Hitachi drives.

    You have a BenQ for sure. Just google "Textbook 360 Guide" and it's the very first link. Took me about 5 minutes to flash one of these for a friend ;)
    EDIT: Assuming you have a VIA sata chipset or Via 6421 PCI sata card in your PC.
