MK DS online: the rules have changed!

I was just playing a regional match online. After the first stage one person disconnected and the rest of us continued till the end. I came first overall with 40 points but only got 2 wins instead of 3. What's up?

IMO MKDD is better than MKDS in almost every aspect...the course design's better, the gameplay's better, and it's much more fun in multiplayer mode...

Personnaly, i didn't buy MKDD because i think it's the worse MK ever... especially the multiplayer!
thoses battles are just crap!

I just pplayed a global match against three players, one dropped at the beginning. At the end of the fourth race I was winner and got my full 3 points

Snaking is Power sliding continuously on a Straight instead of just corners. It takes some skill to perfect but it gives a HUGE advantage by the amount of speed you gain.

The power slide in Mario Kart DS is much more powerful than previous games.

Powersliding on a straight part is the hardest... It's no problem to do it in corners though. I've already finished 50 & 100 cc all in gold, all I need to finish now is the last to cups in 150cc and I've finished the grand prix mode =)

I've beaten 150cc Mirror without snaking, and the lowest rank I've ever gotten on anything when I get first place was a B. I have gotten 1 star on a quite a few as well (especially 150cc mirror lightning cup, aka Hell on Earth).

Actually, I got two stars on the last one in mirror cup (NO SNAKING of course)

They ALL disconnected in the last course.

However, I didn't get ANY winning point again.

I really can't follow the online wins/loses rules either.

I played against 2 people last night, 1 guys disconnected in the third race and the other just before the 4th race started, I exit check my record and I didn't get frigging squat added to either my wins or my loses. Keep in mind I was beating these guys at the time.

Anybody actually figured out what the exact Nintendo rules are?
