Mario World is Super Mario Bros 4, literally. They called it that in Japan-

It was inevitable, considering NSMB platformer game was used when the 3DS was "first" introduced at the E3 2010. I knew it from that moment that a NSMB game will come, well everyone did, it's common for Mario to help debut new handhelds/consoles (Nintendo).

NSMB or NSMB Wii could be seen as SMB5 and/or SMB6. Really, there's nothing to a "SMB5" that would be different from NSMB, just the name.

EDIT: For some reason it didn't post correctly.

Yeah and >.< c´mon it is the idea!

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Or they could just take the obvious and easiest solution (and one that makes the most sense given their trends and history with the Mario series)- New Super Mario Bros 3D. It'll be the third in the revival series they've got going on, and it fits their interest in putting part of the system name in the title of everything, plus cash in on the 3d pun. I'm going to bet on that. We've seen Mario 64, Mario Advance, Mario 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros Wii, etc. Plus, all the non-Mario "Super" titles on SNES. Makes sense that they'll continue the tradition. You kind of have to expect such an obvious move by now. I'll be shocked if they choose to ignore such an obvious naming opportunity.

Waiting for a universal Super Mario Bros. 4.

Before anyone says "World": World was called Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan only, and isn't even referred to as it anymore.
