A Frostburg State University student was charged with two misdemeanor counts of disrupting a school operation after allegedly speaking a threat about "shooting up the school" on Xbox LIVE.

Overreacting, maybe. But on the other hand, a guy attending Virginia Tech threatened to "shoot up the school"... and then he did. I can understand everyone being jumpy.

Yeah, well, morons will be morons. I'm sure this one will never even joke about such things again, but taking every such moron in in shackles and beating them with rubber batons until they've learned their lesson would be too much work.

It is quite disturbing they found who the kid was so quick...I figured IP logs would take a much longer time ... Unless there is something obvious I am missing as to how they knew where to go? Even calling Microsoft and saying "who is gamer XXXXX?" I figured would take a while...shit it takes like 4 hours just to reach tech support....
