A special message, from mthrnite to the community.
My fellow 'tempers,
Time has come again to remind you that GBAtemp is a community of people, quite a lot of people, from all over the world. I understand that within a disparate group of people, there will be different standards of behavior, but in order for this site to be enjoyable for all, we've got to set some rules that everybody must follow. These aren't particularly hard rules, and there's a certain amount of leeway that we moderators will allow for, but from time to time things start going to hell in a handbasket and we have to step up and remind some of our members to follow them. So here's the deal:
Read the forum rules.
Up at the top of the main portal, the front page of the site, you will find a link to our forum rules. It's a small link, but it's not hard to find, it's over on the left, right underneath the site navigation buttons and beside the member log in link. I'm sure you can find it, take a minute and read the rules. They cover basic etiquette and general stuff about what you can and can't link to and also stuff about how big your avatar and signature file can be... stuff like that. They also explain our warning system, something you may want to be somewhat familiar with if you are used to pushing boundries, you little rebel you. In addition to those rules, I'd like to add a few things for you to think about, as follows:
We are not 4chan.
Deep down in the bowels of the internet, there is a place known as 4chan, a place where memes grow out of slightly controlled chaos. There are rules even there, but they are largely self-referential, they do not apply to GBAtemp. We have and expect a higher sense of decorum around here.
*There, people treat each other like crap and laugh about it, we do not do that here.
*Trolling and flaming are the norm there, we do not tolerate it here.
*There, all males are males, all females are males and all kids are FBI agents, here we would have you take someone at their word as far as their age and gender are concerned.
*There, endless repetition for the sake of mutation is the power that runs the meme-machine, here we expect you not to post unless you have something constructive and somewhat original to say.
Every landfill has something of value hidden within it, but the majority will always be landfill, we present GBAtemp differently, we are not a landfill, we are not a jungle where the weak are preyed upon by the strong, we are not a vicious place, we are a family, and we expect manners at our table. Treat your fellow 'tempers with respect, help the ones who need it, and if you see someone acting like a total ass, report them, and let the moderators deal with them.
Get to know us!
All of our moderating team are helpful people. Yes we have other aspects to our lives. I'm a single parent of two young boys, they take a lot of my time, along with all the other things that pull on me in life. However, I am just a PM away from helping you with your problems, and I am a nice guy, so don't be nervous about contacting me. The same goes for contacting any of the moderators that you see listed to the left of the main page of this site. There is almost always at least one or two mods online at any given time, and we are all nice guys and gals, devoted to keeping GBAtemp a nice place to be.
Any questions or complaints? PM me and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for listening,

I'd like to apologize for the "lateness" of the SuperCard DS One review.
I'd originally recieved the SuperCard DS One over a month ago, but it had met the clutches of my dog (who has fortunately been given away recently) and was shredded to bits. Reviews are much more work than they look! I've spent countless nights (and early mornings) working on my review...revising, writing, and taking an hour or two just to get one image that looks perfect.
I've been very busy lately with life, school (which I'll soon have to visit once again, for Extended School as I didn't perform so good in Geometry), and keeping you people updated with the latest NDS scene news here on GBAtemp. I've been trying to juggle a lot of different things, lately. My priorities are out of whack and my home life ain't so great, really. I'm trying as hard as I can to get the review out soon (then stop taking so much time typing this post, and get back to work dumbass!).
I would appreciate it if you folks could get back into posting Nintendo DS releases, as well as posting Wii releases (not Virtual Console or Wiiware releases, I believe jumpman17 will be handling that soon).
The Temper Post is currently on hiatus - but you've got the Tempcast to look forward to! The Temper Post was beginning to turn into a big hassle, to where I'd have to stay up until 4 or 5 a.m. every Friday-Saturday. I simply cannot just do it alone. I realize that are a lot of people to help me out, and me and Narin will be thinking of what to do with it in the future...it's not been abandoned!
I also regret to inform you that I will possibly be leaving my position on the Magazine staff soon, as this load is getting too difficult to carry. No offense, but the Magazine staff haven't been pulling much of a load recently (don't get me wrong, they're all cool folks) and it's become a lot of work keeping this website up to date by myself. I would ask that people step up and post as much Homebrew and Scene news as I do! I don't mean to sound as if I'm abandoning GBAtemp, I'm not! I've had and am having a great time here at GBAtemp, as I'm sure you all have too (besides, it's not definite). GBAtemp has been more of a home to me than my real home, that's for sure! I apologize if I'm throwing a pity party, I don't mean to. Even if I do decide to leave, I'll still probably be active in the forum and will be releasing some guides and things to finding NDS release information, Wii information, and Homebrew news if I do (for GBAtemp's sake, of course).
I'm not staff, and I don't deal with members a lot, really. I have, however, seen this community go into a slump. To say I've not contributed to the mess would be a lie, and I apologize. Treat everyone like family and try not to attack them if they ask a "nooby" question (I'm looking at you, Urza). We all have been a "noob" at some point and just need a good nudge in the right direction. Instead of "Google it, faggot" - how about a nudge in the right direction and a link or two that could be helpful. You get the point....Try not to be rude to people, be kind. You don't want to be an old Scrooge who gripes at people! Also, if you butt heads with another member, why not try and reverse that with some kindness. For me to say that may sound rather hypocritical, if you've seen the deal with me and Little lately - and I would like to apologize to the little lady, and I'm sorry for the nasty things I said. So, let's be kind and helpful to one another, even to the "noobs."
Excuse me if this message sounds a little weird, I'm a bit sleepy from staying up all night working on that SuperCard DS One review!
If I can help with anything, or if there's a question or a piece of news you'd like me to post - I'm a PM away.

Thank you everyone for your patience and enjoy your time on GBAtemp.net!

I'd just like to say recently we have heard of members feeling 'let down by the staff' and that they feel 'they can't come to us for help/support' with anything.
Well this was a shock to me as I am here a lot, and always willing to help ANYONE with ANY problem or anything thats on their mind. Please never feel that you cannot come to us for help or support.
Always remember that we built this community from nothing so the last thing we want is for members to feel they cannot 'reach' us now, when we have always been so tight.
Oh and please lose the 4chanism, you know who you are <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wink2.gif" />
