What's the latest version of mIOS? Does it handle "Star Fox: Adventures" well?
The latest version of MIOS is v10.
Unfortunately, I don't know of how well it handles Star Fox Adventures, but I haven't heard of any issues with said game and any version of MIOS.
With my current version of mIOS Star Fox has issues with voices in the cutscenes
The voices should work well with all versions of MIOS, what problems do you have exactly?
he's playing a backup of star fox adventues... its a streaming audio game so the voices are missing in cutscenes.
If he has a MIOS installed, then either the game(as a backup) won't boot at all, or he has a modchip and all further issues are modchip issues.
I do have a mIOS installed and no modchip. my backup of Star Fox Adventures does load but I was simply wondering if anyone ever got around to the streaming audio issues.
No you don't!
What do you mean? I could be wrong so I'm asking for an explanation. It's been ages since Ive goofed around with GameCube loading. While I did play some Viewtiful Joe last week (backup through the Disc Channel) right now I'm just trying to get things up to date.
MIOS installed + no modchip => no gamecube backups
OK so I should say cMIOS right?
If you have one installed, you should say that you have a cMIOS installed. Now to your problem, no there isn't any software solution for playing audio streams yet, and most likely there never will be. And if a game plays or not, is a question of the GC loader, which may be part of the cMIOS, but doesn't has to.
Cool beans! So the latest cMIOS is version 10 right? And I'm sure I'll be fine with subtitles in Star Fox Adventures (not like I haven't beat the game already ). Do you know of any other games that stream audio?
No, that is the latest MIOS. You can't use MIOS to play backups. Get the recommended version from the NeoGamma thread.
here's a list with audio streaming games:
Thanks guys! Ive been modding Wii consoles since the beginning of the Twilight Hack but Ive never claimed to know it all. I'm glad there are still people on these forms willing to educate. I haven't performed a mod in months so I'm pretty much out of practice adn until I had that mishap from last week I was pretty much content with where my Wii was at. Now that things are back in order with Wii backup loading I just wanted to work out all lose ends (GameCube loading and grabbing any homebrew apps of interest). Thanks a million!
you are at odds with your custom user title, then.
I might have got it wrong but didn't Crediar say that there was a way to get audio streaming to work? by soldering a couple of wires?
Ha ha. Lmao I guess Im am in a bit of a pickle... today
