Minecraft's Nether update now has an official launch date

Minecraft is getting a sizable update soon, with the latest new content to involve the Nether. You'll be able to find Netherite Ingots, interact with the new mobs like the Piglins and Hoglins, mine new block types, explore never before seen biomes, or even listen to some of the new music tracks, all composed by Lena Raine, who previously did the soundtrack for Celeste. The Nether update will be launching for the Bedrock versions of the game on June 23rd, for mobile, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows 10, and Nintendo Switch, alongside the Java version, which supports Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.

Get ready to fall into lava. Lots of lava! The Nether Update, Minecraft’s next big adventure, is launching June 23 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10, and more. The update will also be available on the Java version, and will roll out on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux during the same day.

If you’re like me – that is to say, totally terrified excited for the Nether and can’t wait to learn more about Minecraft’s lava-fueled sauna – then you should head over to the official Nether Update website. It’s a handy page with plenty of information about the new blocks, items, biomes, and threats awaiting you on the other side of the portal. Or maybe you prefer to dive into it with reckless abandon? That’s fine too, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Never liked it. Really hate it. I tried it at my friend's daughter who had it. Dont liked it! I will pass!
Comes to forum talking about game he doesn't like. Says "I don't like the game". Then why in the actual [email protected]*& did you even click this post, just to say you don't like the game?

If you don't like a game, it isn't worth your time to talk down on it, especially in a place where people are talking good about the thing you don't like. So if you don't like Minecraft don't be here, literally.

That's like going to Walmart saying "I Hate Cashier's". Ok that's nice, glad AF to hear your opinion, just GTFO and shop on Amazon. You feel?

Sometimes providing a differing opinion is actually beneficial, so it's not an echo chamber. For example, I'm quite critical towards Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Galaxy, along with the Switch Pokemon games and others; however, I like to provide reasoning as to why I think those games are inherently flawed and massively "overrated".

For example, BotW - crippled by the survival mechanics (limited stamina and equipment fragility, mostly; temperature is also an annoyance, but not as much as those two), the repetitive shrines, the far too big and empty plains, rain hindering climbing and forcing the player to wait until it's over, the slow and clunky combat system (further dragged down by fragility), and how those shrine orbs can get the player either more health or more stamina - not both, which it should have been.
It's just not a "Legend of Zelda" game underneath the surface. It's got LoZ enemies and some names, but that's just skin-deep. It's far too bland, since "survival open-world" games are a dime a dozen these days. I would have definitely preferred a brand-new traditional Legend of Zelda game, since the last one was 2013's A Link Between Worlds - which was heavily based on a scrapped A Link to the Past remake, so does it really count? Since 2013, all we've gotten are remakes, remasters, and that trash Tri-Force Heroes multiplayer disaster.

Or heck, Minecraft, since we're here - there's been practically no improvements to caves and general underground stuff in ages, despite the surface having received a smorgasbord of changes. It's incredibly boring to go mining in Minecraft. Furthermore, combat has been far too slow, unintuitive, and crappy since 1.9 - years ago. There's been some conceptual changes in additional "Combat Test" snapshots, but those aren't part of the regular snapshot-prerelease-full release schedule, and a lot of those changes flat-out make it worse instead of fixing it - who wants weaker weapons and nerfed saturation?
Furthermore, it's just not a good game if you lack the imagination and building skills to create giant structures; since it's so open and free, there's ironically nothing to really focus upon for some people. Essentially all the goals are player-made, so if the player has no goals, nothing to aim themselves towards, it gets boring and repetitive fast.
Oh, and charging for skin elements in Bedrock, using virtual currency players have to buy in predetermined bundles? That's despicable, especially since it doesn't allow you to preview multiple elements together. Charging for resource packs is not as despicable, but it's still not exactly a good look. Basically, Bedrock needs to remove the Store altogether.

While I agree with Latiodile, your opinion and view of criticism is one I hadn't considered. I appreciate your example, it helps me better understand the gaming community, and I also share your opinion of BoTW not being in line with the rest of the game, and SMG more or less, along with 3d world/land, that wasn't ever the scope of 2d side scrolling, in depth 3d version of 2d sidescroll, with camera? Like quit when your not too terribly behind.
