What would happen when you plug your midi instrument into your nes and let it play music? The result would be the chip meastro. It is a custom cartridge for the nes that synthesizes midi instruments over a maximum of four channels (The two pulse waves, the triangle wave, and the noise wave). You can also use a midi to usb converter to let your computer play music over your nes. The price is pretty high (50 USD for NTSC consoles, and an additional 8 USD for PAL) but the first shipment of 200 units is nearly ready to be shipped. It is also confirmed that there will be a second shipment.
