What's the difference between the two?

Answer:
No Crossplay means you can connect with the original mhxx Japan Server in Online Multiplayer.

Crossplay means you can connect with Nintendo Switch MHGU Server in Online Multiplayer however with some limitations:

1. Can't use Japanese Exclusive DLC Armor
2. Your console will crash if someone on MHGU posted Event Quest in the room. (Just reboot and it will be ok again)

Question:
Can I install this even if I already have installed another patch.

Answer:
Yes, this will overwrite any existing patch

Hello there, congratulations for releasing this patch, before downloading it I have some questions.

The first one is: is there a luma version of the patch? To be able to change between the English and Spanish patches quickly.

And the second is: did you manage to increase the number of characters on the online chat? Generations and 4U had like 20 characters while XX had 6 or 7. I remember working with another dude on a Complete Spanish translation 3 years ago and we couldn't change that (or the font, we had to use the original one).

maximum number of characters yes. and luma no. you can easily extract the cia if you want using hackingtool9ds then just renmae ExtractedRomFS to romfs then put it in your luma folder. i think installimg the english cia is much easier than extracting the luma zip file. takes seconds to install the cia

Just one final thought: Will be ever possible for XX users to crossplay with GU without crashing if they post event quests? Even if that causes you to crash other XX users after posting an event quest. It will be really nice to have that option since most players online are GU users.

Most (if not all) USJ DLC I think. Gudetama event quest and its gear (which I love) and Hunting Horn are also unavailable in GU.

Welp I don't have any experience doing this...

So I should get the clean MHXX rom (I use hshop)
But something that doesn't fit me is that in hshop the rom and the game "update" are in separate downloadable files, should I install the update as well and then the patch? or should I not install the update?

That's cuz the patch only changes the texts and some textures, but not the sounds.

Anyway, in my case I prefer the Japanese sounds instead of the "que rico" of the official Spanish XD.
