One of the biggest features in the Big Boss's latest outing, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, was 4-player co-op, available for a majority of the game. While an exciting new addition to Metal Gear Solid, it seems like without any online available (Peace Walker only allowed local multiplayer), co-op never got the credit it deserved. However, in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, it seems the Big Boss and friends will be able to take the fight online.

Hideo Kojima, famed Metal Gear Solid creator, announced on Twitter today that Peace Walker would support 4-player online co-op for the PS3 and Xbox 360, providing this image to show it off.

Kojima also said the game will run at a full 60 FPS and each character's dialogue in co-op can be seen during load screens.

The HD Collection will come out later this year with MGS2: Substance, MGS3: Subsistence, and Peace Walker.[/p]

For the record this is pretty much gonna be a must-buy for me and my friends. One of my friends played a bit of Peace Walker and he liked it so we're definitely gonna play this.

Christmas for me looks like this, Saint's Row 3, and maybe a box of Innistrad cards.

Don't want to poop on this parade but I played it at gamescom and it was terrible. The animations feel very stuterish so you won't feel the 60FPS at all and they didn't change the graphics at all, they look terrible on an HD TV, looks worse than PS2 games.

No version for PC -_-

Um... Did you expect that? MGS has always kinda been a "console" series (although it has had like a few PC releases).

Well, that's unfortunate. Hopefully the online component will compensate for that.

Quoted for truth.

Seriously, this is just great news; this collection is really going to be an amazing deal.
