Gaming Mew Glitch VC Yellow (Blue/Red), spoiler.

Which I understand, it's all part of the nostalgia too. I do wonder one thing does it work on the JPN versions of the game too? Because they are distributing mews there in their pokemon centers through in game link cable. (I was wondering maybe simply because they don't have the glitch, but I can't confirm).

Most (if not all) glitches in the international versions exist in the Japanese versions. I wonder if the Japanese VC version uses the international versions or the original Japanese versions without bug fixes.

Basically,
As long as you still have an "off-screen" trainer (OST):
1. Teleport away from before he can battle you
2. defeat a different trainer
3. go back to route of the OST
4. menu pops up, pokemon appears!
5. save the game, and go back to step one, if you want to!

I know I just tried on my red cart but back in the 90's there was only ever mention of two trainers you could do this with to get Mew and only Mew.

There's actually more than two.

If you look at the map above, I believe all the trainers in the orange box are OSTs.

Oh yeah this list didn't exist then.

I had to keep doing the glitch to capture other pokemon.

By the time I reached Vermillion, I gave up, cause it was taking WAY too long.

the bundled cia I have don't seem to have color for Yellow, and it's bugging me out.

I think they may have fixed it, every time I do the save and quickly reset after it asks me if I want to save my save file becomes corrupted.
